Skirting boards are the unsung heroes of a house. They’re not very pretty, but they do a lot of work to protect your walls from damage and keep your home looking neat. The First in cleaning skirting boards is to remove your skirting boards on one side of the room. This will make it easier to clean the rest of the room because there’s less furniture in the way and you can easily access all areas.

Don’t use a broom or brush either! They’ll only spread around the dirt even more than it already is, which makes cleaning harder later on down the line when you have to deal with them again after they’ve been moved around so much by these tools.

Mop the floor to remove dirt, dust, and sawdust. Never use a vacuum cleaner when cleaning skirting boards as it will just push dirt into the gaps between them.
